About Us

Our Mission:

Knowing, Showing and Sharing Jesus

Our Vision:

Because we love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, we have a burning desire to love, nurture and rescue the lost, hurting and hopeless souls with whom we come in contact. We also want to nourish those who walk through the doors of our sanctuary by teaching God’s Word, by heart-felt prayer and through praise and worship which can transport us to God’s throne.

Lighthouse Family Fellowship is a congregation of Grace Communion International.

Grace Communion International (formerly known as the Worldwide Church of God) is a Christian denomination with about 47,000 members, worshiping in more 900 congregations in almost 100 nations and territories.

The denomination began in 1934 and went through major doctrinal reformation in the 90's. Grace Communion International is currently a member of the National Association of Evangelicals.

In April 2009, our denomination changed its name in the United States from Worldwide Church of God to Grace Communion International. This name better reflects who we are and what we teach.

GCI's main office is in North Carolina.

Statement of Beliefs

Bible Study

We have bi-monthly bible studies that are interactive and are based directly from the scriptures. Our bible studies are held after church on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. We share a meal together shortly after church and then have interactive discussions on a biblical topic. Come join us for food, fellowship and Bible learning!

Youth Camps & Activities

Our church sponsors a Youth Camp each year at Fontainebleau State Park near Covington, LA.  We run 2 sessions each summer usually in early July.  Visit our camp Website for more information.

Youth Church

Our Youth Church meets every other month. It is designed for all ages. We have food, games, youth worship and youth oriented messages and discussions. It all begins at 12 Noon!

Kairos Prison Ministry

Our congregation is very active in the Kairos Prison Ministry. Some of our members will spend 3 and a half days with inmates at either LCIW or Angola. Kairos is a transdenominational ministry and was created to share God's love to the incarcerated men and women in our penal institutions. For those who are unable to go inside, they support the events through prayer or baking cookies. The children support the ministry with artwork that is given to the inmates during the event.
